![]() ![]() It was packed with nuts and red beans which made for a great crunchy texture. ![]() The flavour of our Green Tea Bingsu ($15.90 single portion) was delicious. ![]() Though we were feeling reserved during our visit and opted for a single portion. Bingsu fans, rejoice! At Caffe Bene they serve up whopping double portions of this awesome icy treat in a variety of flavours. I really liked the malty, grainy flavour. We also opted for a Misugaru Latte (from $6.50) served hot, if you’re looking to ditch your coffee addiction this is definitely a healthier choice that might persuade you to make the switch. I don’t think I would have ever guessed this was made using sweet potato, the flavour is really rather subtle. I really enjoyed this drink, it was refreshing, smooth and sweet without being sickly. We tried the Sweet Potato Latte (from $6.50) and opted for the iced version, it can also be served hot if you’d rather. The drinks menu features some unusual additions as well as the expected coffee combinations. It was a healthy way to begin, even though I did quickly descend into calorie laden waffle territory. I liked the crunch of the julienne carrot and cucumber, and the dressing was light, fresh and enough to coat the entire bowl generously. What looked like a relatively dull bowl of soba was actually pretty tasty. We kicked things off with the Japanese Soba ($9.90) from the savoury counter. The menu is vast and varied, and of course features everyone’s favourite Korean export – Bingsu – alongside gelato, waffles and honey bread, to name but a few. The only feature you will spot in every single branch however is the famous Caffe Bene clock. It’s spacious, light and bright with plenty of comfy spaces for you to sit back and relax.ĭespite the fact there are now approximately 1,500 Caffe Bene’s globally, each one features a unique interior design ensuring it doesn’t feel like your average coffee chain. There are a few nods towards a more vintage feel, but it also maintains a cool, fun, natural European vibe. The first thing you notice about Caffe Bene is the decor. The name, if you translate it literally, means ‘good cafe’ in Italian. We recently dropped by to see exactly what all the fuss is about and to see if it lived up to it’s title, and the hype. Caffe Bene – the Korean coffeehouse giant – has finally landed in Singapore, at VivoCity to be precise. ![]() ![]() "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this wise.In each case I can say absolutely, and can give my reasons, why I would feel immediately threatened if I thought that the group of men approaching me in the dusk were coming from a religious observance." I have not investigated in-depth on the Qt-Creator logic to manage git: it is important to know that with Git repository system installed on our computer we can take the benefits of remote and local Git directly from the Qt-Creator environment. Remains the fact that git follows its independent evolution unrelated with the Qt versions. This tutorial refers to the Qt-Creator 2.2 and Git 1.7.3.x I saw in past that some useful features of the git repository system was not accessible from the Qt-Creator environment in a simple way. I hope that this how-to will be of help to all the community. I scheduled a speak about the use of the git repositories with Qt creator during the recent Qt developers conference in Berlin that I unfortunately missed for a last-minute problem. Git has the advantage to operate on single platforms and small networks with or without the need of a server repository. I start writing these pages as a personal contribution to the Qt developer wiki because I noticed that there are developers that don't know git repository system. This pages aims to help those developers that don't know the git repository system but like to manage - both locally and on remote servers - a repository of their works. There are no bedroom scenes, but Sparrow jokes often about sex. There’s also a scene involving a creepy-looking bald witch who is stirring a potion. Salazar and his crew look like something out of a demonic movie, with blood dripping and flesh rotting. The disturbing images are just as significant. There’s also a comical guillotine scene in which we see realistic-looking heads in a basket. There’s plenty of punching, sword fighting and shooting, too, with a few cannonball battles mixed in. ![]() Salazar kills a man with a sword through the torso, and later he orders his ghost crew to kill several soldiers in similar fashion. We also discover Jack Sparrow’s backstory, thanks to some CGI magic (à la Carrie Fisher in Rogue One). Carina also finds her father, and in the end we witness a great example of self-sacrifice. Henry will do anything to find his father, who, in turn, truly wants to be reunited with his son. (Especially if you, like me, appreciate 18th- and 19th-century-era movies with their massive sailing ships.) The story also is easy to follow, even if everything gets a little weird in the end. Interestingly, Lucid’s overall short position did not vary significantly even during the stock’s strong (bear market) rally in July and the first half of August. ![]() In addition, the cost to borrow Lucid shares to put on or to maintain a short position is quite expensive, a reported annual rate of about 11%. Consequently, investors should be mindful that a short squeeze could happen anytime. As of August 15, 2022, approximately 23% of its float was shorted. Lucid is one of the most heavily shorted U.S.-traded stocks. Separately, in late August, Lucid filed an S-3 registration statement with the SEC that would permit it to issue up to US$8 billion in new capital (presumably much of it new equity) over a three-year period. The filing also allows its core investor, a Saudi Arabian investment fund which owns a 60+% stake in Lucid, the flexibility to sell some or all of its 1.0 billion Lucid shares over time. None of the proceeds from any Saudi stock sales would flow to Lucid. (A) Operating cash flow was negative US$745.4 million in the nine months ended September 30, 2021. (in thousands of US $, except for shares outstanding) Note that Lucid produced only 1,405 vehicles in 1H 2022, so production will need to approximately quadruple in the second half to meet even the reduced full-year goal. These departures may be linked to Lucid’s early August announcement that it slashed its full-year 2022 production to 6,000-7,000 Lucid Airs from its previous manufacturing forecast of 12,000-14,000 vehicles. The departures of many high-ranking managers seem unusual for a company which is just beginning to produce electric vehicles on a commercial scale and which appears to have strong growth prospects.
